Washington State, west, Moss laden trees in the Hoh Rain Forest. The Hoh Rain Forest in north west Washington receives up to 14 feet of rain a year. This fact might seem a little forbidding but the result is an ethereal forest dressed with graceful hanging moss and a thick soft ground cover of moss and ferns.
