Idaho, Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness area, Ship Island Lake. The Bighorn Crags form a high granite divide 20 miles long and up to 10 miles wide. It stands on the east side of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, nearly 1,000 feet above the surrounding mountains. Although these peaks are part of the Salmon River Mountains, they are unique in their physical shape and geologic makeup.
